Historical sewing classes for the fearful and the fearless!

Let’s get started!

New to historical sewing or just wanting to try another era? Jump in with Sense & Sensibility! I’ve created classes around five of my patterns: the original Regency Gown, the 1910s Tea Gown, the 1914 Afternoon Dress, the Girls’ Edwardian Apron, and the 1940s Swing Dress. Each class includes detailed, step-by-step instructions with illustrations, photos, and (when needed) video tutorials. You proceed through the class at your own pace and have an entire year to complete your project. You can reach me with questions through email or the Telegram app, and I am always happy to help if you require extra guidance. If you don’t have a copy of the pattern upon which the class is based, you’ll need to purchase that first in my online shop.

I originally hosted my classes on another platform but have decided to move them into a private Members Area here on my website to make things seamless for students. Currently, I have the Regency Gown, 1910s Tea Gown, and 1914 Afternoon Dress classes up and running, but I’m steadily migrating the other classes into this area and will post their sign-up forms ASAP. Thanks for your patience!

[If you are already a student in one of the classes on the old platform, don’t worry—your access hasn’t been revoked, and you will still be able to get into your lessons. If you would prefer to move your login over here, just drop me a line so I can give you a free account, since you’ve already paid for the class. Thanks!]

This darling, easy to wear apron is perfect for crafting, play, or to wear over a pretty dress. It includes deep pockets just like my ladies’ Edwardian Apron, but I added a criss-cross feature with the back straps to make the fit more child-friendly. This class takes you through all the steps to make this apron, including extensive photos and video segments. It is a downloadable course that you can take as much time with as you like.
