I needed a warm coat for a War of 1812 reenacting event in February. I've had this white wool plush coating in my stash for about 15 years, so I decided it would be perfect for a pelisse. This is made from the Regency Spencer pattern. I used the skirt pattern from the Regency Gown pattern to make the pelisse skirt as suggested in the instructions.

I created this pattern by pulling research together from several sources (along with customer requests!). I studied a Spencer jacket in the D.A.R. Museum collection and one at the Valentine. I also drew from Janet Arnold’s wonderful Patterns of Fashion to create a versatile pattern for short jackets, long coats, and sleeveless pelisses or short gowns.

Drafted from an original circa 1908 jacket, this is my Edwardian Walking Jacket pattern. It pairs beautifully with the Beatrix Skirt pattern and can be dressed up or down for any occasion.

A beautiful girls' 1920s coat pattern for a little girl. I love seeing the colors! Like their mothers, even little girls are wearing the stylish cloche hats.

 When I found out that the drama department in the school where I teach was doing “The Music Man” as their production for the year, I knew I had to get involved! I had a lengthy collection of patterns from the Edwardian/Titanic/Teens era, including quite a few of the Sense & Sensibility patterns.
