A New Pattern Company–and a giveaway!

I’ve had the privilege of encouraging many young women to learn pattern drafting and start up their own businesses, creating beautiful patterns of their own. A young friend of mine has just launched her new business, Edelweiss Patterns, and she’s produced a lovely “Liesl” dress pattern perfect for stage productions, dancewear, and more. Katrina sent me a review copy, and I immediately asked if I could host a giveaway!

I will draw one winner through Random.org on Friday, January 7.

    I emailed my friends about this beautiful dress and pattern company. If I don’t win the give away, I will most likely be buying this pattern soon because I have danced along with Liesl and Rolf during the gazebo scene ever since I was 5, but I was missing the dress. Now my younger sisters do the dame thing when they watch the movie but they still need dresses!

    I know my sisters and a friend applied for this and we did it wrong. we forgot to CC you on the emails we sent to our family and friends.

    Hopefully we got it all worked out b/c they should have resent their emails today :) Sorry for the confusion.

    I want to thank all of you ladies for the lovely comments and posts! I’m glad to hear that other seamstresses have admired Liesl’s dress just as I have!

    I particularly want to thank Jennie for so graciously offering to host this giveaway, and for her incredibly kind comments about the pattern! I had the privilege of meeting her on the 2009 S&S costume tour, and I highly recommend it to all costume-lovers!
