Rebecca's Plaid 1950s Wardrobe Dress

Some customers go waaaaay back in my life to the very earliest days of my pattern-making career. Rebecca is one of them. I’ve known her since I was pregnant with my second child, when she was launching Baker Lane, and we have managed to stay in touch across the years. So it is always a treat when I see an email from her in my in-box. Here’s what I got this week:

Hello, my dear! I hope you and yours are doing well. I thought you'd be interested to know the inspiration finally struck and I finished my 1950s shirtwaist dress from your pattern. Fashionably late as usual! I don't know why I deliberated over the buttons so long (4-5 years!), when mother of pearl are clearly perfect! I'm loving how this turned out! The 14 fits comfortably even though I've gained a few. Hurrah! Time to start another one, I suppose. I'd love to see how it makes up in lawn with a flatlined bodice and shirred skirt.

Here are Rebecca’s pictures of her cute dress (the fit is perfection!). I love it and can’t wait to see what she makes next!
