These are photos from a wonderful production of 'Northanger Abbey' at the Pear Avenue Theatre in Mountain View, CA. The Pear is a tiny theater. The play was done with very few props and very little furniture. All the ladies’ gowns are variations on either the Simplicity pattern or the Elegant Lady’s Closet pattern. The actors were onstage most of the time, and they changed from one character to another by making small changes in their accessories. The actors rarely left the stage, and their outfits had to serve for a variety of events with minimal changes. All the four women wore dresses made from variations of your patterns. ~ Trish F.

This must be the year for plays and operas--and Northanger Abbey! Love these fun pictures!
