When I was in Seattle at Expo, I took a class on what is ‘in’ for children’s clothing. One of the topics was shirring. Obviously, that’s not a *new* technique, but it was fun to hear all about how this is making a big come back in garments for all ages, but in particular, for children. I thought it would be fun to try the technique on my favourite tried and true pattern, the Girls’ Regency pattern. :-) It worked really well. I am going to attempt doing it again, but a little bit different. I did do two blog posts about it, one about the actual garment, then the second one was on how I did the technique. You can find the two links here: http://stitchedbyhislove.blogspot.com/2010/04/shirring-regency-girls-dress-pattern.html Here is the construction post: http://stitchedbyhislove.blogspot.com/2010/04/construction-of-dress-shirring.htmlI hope you smile as you see just one more thing you can do with the Girls’ Regency Dress pattern. :-)

Thanks for sharing, Carol!
