Hello Mrs. Chancey,

I am thirteen, the oldest of six children, and I have four younger sisters. They absolutely adore my dress, and are waiting for me to make them a dress also. Here are pictures of my finished Regency gown. It is made from your Simplicity pattern. I got the idea for the scarf from the “Sense and Sensibility” movies’ costumes (I haven’t seen the movie yet but, found pictures on the internet). Do you like it? I am planning on wearing it to my piano concert this Tuesday.

Thank you so much for offering young girls like myself modest, and feminine patterns!

Absolutely beautiful work, Miriam! I am so impressed at your skill, and I think you look so elegant with your violin. Thank you for sharing!

    • Hi Rachel!
      Thanks for your comment!
I won’t make you a dress but, would be delighted to teach you how to make one.
Ask your Mom if we can get together and do some sewing.
