I was looking for a quick and simple project to make during 2 days off with my 3 meters of cotton. I've chosen the drawstring dress :) As I didn't want pleats on the front skirt, I've added buttons in the back and changed the skirt a little. I've kept the neckline string :) This pattern was really fun to use ♥ Thanks! My blog: http://dentelleetsatin.blogspot.comThe making of this dress: http://dentelleetsatin.blogspot.fr/2016/03/dark-blue-regency-dress.html

Isn't this splendid? I love the added waistband (very easy to do--just measure under the bust and add 2.5" for overlap at the back if you plan to do a button placket like Melly's). If you prefer a smooth skirt front, you can try on the bodice as you see here, then measure across your front from one side seam to the other. Add seam allowances, and that's the width of your front skirt panel. Voila'!Thank you for sharing your beautiful work, Melly. I especially love the GIFs on your blog that show how the gown moves when you walk. Brava!
