Lea-anne's "Picnic at Pemberley" Outfit

I was attending a "Picnic at Pemberley" event at the Abbey Museum of Art & Archaeology, Qld Australia, so I particularly wanted a dress with the proper period styling. I made my dress in a bit of a hurry and didn't do a trial fitting first, so the neckline is somewhat higher than I would like, and the sleeves gathered a bit low, but I am very pleased with my first result. I had no problems with drafting the pattern or sewing. The biggest problem seems to be finding a suitable fabric. Only sorry I didn't have time to make the proper stays, but I am already planning my next dress. Thanks so much for the convenience of buying patterns online.Lea-anne M.

What fun, Lea-anne! You did a great job, especially while in a hurry! I recommend Reproduction Fabrics for beautiful period-appropriate prints from this era. Have fun with your next project!
