Heidi's Regency Spencer Jacket

redspencer.jpg

I was digging through my scrap bins awhile back trying to use some things up so I could regain a couple of drawers! I came across some burgandy wool (leftover from a cape) and matching silk (leftover from a summer dress) so I decided to make a new Spencer jacket. I found these buttons in my Great Grandmother's button box. They each have little velvet flowers and leaves on them and I think they are perfect! I can't wait to wear my new Spencer this winter and I hope this inspires each of you to dig out your favorite scraps and make something new! Love, Heidi

I love these kinds of "Eureka" finds in the fabric stash! Such a gorgeous Spencer!
