The abbey is where modern paper photography was invented (about 1839.) Glad to see it's as idyllic as I'd imagined. ... ... ... Sad about those WWI monuments. I remember asking about tiny villages and learning that every able bodied man between 14 and 65 was killed. Very sad times.
