The 2004 contest was a squeaker! The run-off was almost as close as the initial voting session, with the final tally at 197 votes to 190. Congratulations to Miss Amanda Kastner, who is our winner! Here is a screen shot of the final vote results:

Thank you to all of the contestants who entered the 2004 contest. It was such a delight to see your entries, and it is always a joy to know there are many other talented young designers out there. We wish all of you future success in your design endeavors! And we would like to encourage anyone who is interested to enter the 2006 contest, currently open for entries. Go to the Contest Page for more information.

Miss Kastner's design goes into production this fall, when it will be finished to include sizes 6-26. If all goes well (and time is kind!), the pattern will be in the print catalogue I hope to publish before Christmas and available on the site by then as well. I've got lots of able helpers to test the sizes for me, and this pattern is so simple and easy to make up that I do not anticipate any delays. Thank you for your patience as you await your chance to try out this beautiful dress!
