Hello ladies! I registered for the old forum right before it was taken down, and have just re-registered. I love sewing, and am getting more into sewing vintage style clothing. I have yet to sew one of Mrs. Chancey’s patterns, but I’m hoping to order and sew the swing dress pattern soon. What have been your favorite patterns from Sense and Sensibility?
Glad to be here!
I love the drawstring dress from the ELC pattern; it’s straightforward to make and is so pretty and flattering. There are some lovely examples in “show and tell”.

I have made all of the adult Regency patterns and I love how they go together so well. I have several others that I have recently bought but not yet made.

Pleased to meet you, Lauren!
As soon as I get my stays altered, I’ll make a petticoat from the Basic Regency Dress Pattern by Mrs Chancey then plunge into three dresses, one ridicule, a diadem (I also make jewelry!), an over-dress, and a Spencer. The other things I will need–well I have someone else lined up to help!! I need to have all this by the first part of September!!

Glad to see you over here! I own nearly all of the S&S patterns, and my favorite one is either the Titanic Tea Gown which turns out gorgeous(!), or the 1958 party dress pattern. What both of these designs have in common is a really flattering kimono sleeve bodice and “v” necklines in back.
I look forward to seeing your projects!
