How do you do? I'm an Englishwoman living in Surrey, not so far from London. I've been looking at this site for a couple of years now, particularly the show and tell section.  I've made a number of articles of clothing from Mrs Chancey's lovely patterns, including a shift, chemisette, stays, dresses and a spencer. I'd love to post some pictures if I become a full member, and if I can work out how to do it!

I'm always keen to improve upon what I have done, and very much hope I may receive some advice and ideas from the talented ladies on this forum.

I've never been to Ireland before even though it's so near- I should definitely find time for a trip over there…

I've nearly finished making a little sleeveless spencer; far from perfect but I've enjoyed doing it- I wish I could have got rid of a couple of wrinkles though- oh well, thank heavens for drawstrings!
