I am PylesFive from the old Forum. Virgina mother of three blessed wife to a wonderful Man. I love to sew, bake ~cook and start projects that I do not finish. We homeschool our children and try to raise them with love and respect to those around them. I um "collect" or hord fabric and patterns. My stash seems to creep into every room I am in. I do not mind though. I allways have something to sew or to teach others with. My husband dosent mind eather as it saves him money and stress of me clothes shopping! lol I love the S&S patterns and can not wait to get the new patterns to make Christmas dresses for my daughter and I. I think lace, lots of lace. I have missed the forum, you ladies inspire me to sew. Good to see it back up again! It will take some time before I know what I am doing though wink

I've sewn since I was seven and have always been fond of the Regency Era due to my love of Jane Austen. Recently, due to new job responsiblities at the museum where I am the Grants Project Manager, I have become completely immersed in learning as much as I can about the fashions of the Regency / 1812 era.

I can't figure it out either, oh well. I'm glad to be back here, I love looking at all the pretty dresses everyone makes.

I need to make my DH a revolutionary war era coat before Christmas. And maybe a matching coat for my DS and a cute 1700's dress for my DD and… :P

Hello. I am Nadie from the old forum. I joined in March 2010 but I didn't post very often. I love embroidery and hand sewing, but have everlasting enmity against those evil beast known as sewing machines.(I'm sure there are friendly ones out there, somewhere…) I love to study clothing history.

On other topics, I also love reading, gardening, hiking, and making a fool of myself with small children. Happily, I found a place where they pay you to do the latter(I work at a daycare center). I live with my parents and eight cats.
