While I did read the old forums on occasion in the past, I only had three posts. While I do enjoy sewing I know very little about it, and even went a handful of years without doing any sewing projects.

I’m horrible and introductions, and never know what to say, but feel free to ask any questions.

Welcome!

Do you mostly work on modern or historical sewing projects?

I have only done a few basic simple sewing projects, but hope to have the skills one day to tackle one of the historical patterns.

Hi!

Hmm, some basic questions –

Where are you from?

How old are you (if you don’t mind sharing?)

Do you have kids/pets/siblings?

What are your other hobbies? (Most of us here are readers as well as sewers)

I’m from CT. I’m 28, work part time and go to school part time. No kids, my family has one pets.

For other hobbies, I enjoy making jewelry, going for bike rides, watching tv, playing board games. One thing I’ve noticed is my hobbies tend to be very cyclic; while I enjoy sewing I haven’t done any for several years and now am getting back into it. I find the same for any of my other craft based hobbies.

I’m Australian – I have no idea what CT stands for. What are you studying? What is your pet?

Sorry about that, I need to learn to to post on message boards when I’m half asleep. CT stand for Connecticut, a small state on the east coast of the United States. My family has one cat, Dusty, although I personally am not a cat person.

This August I plan on applying to the education program at the school I go to, and I am studying to teach general science to middle school or high school age.

Hi Joan,

Welcome to the message board from the other side of the US.  I enjoy making jewelry a little – mostly to go with my Regency era clothing.  What style do you make?

Good luck with getting into your course, and with becoming a teacher.

Edited first because my message went missing (!) then to fix formatting
