let see if this works!!!
hi everyone, some of you already knows me and some dont. so here I am:
I'm nearly 40 years old lady, living in Italy with my DH. My first sewing project was a regency girl dress made in june 2010, so its 2 and a half years I'm sewing. everything started becouse I wanted to go to Jane Austen Festival in Bath obviously appropriately dressed. I missed the 2010 Festival, but as I started sewing I met some napoleonic war reenactor and started reenacting and going to events. my first event was on march 2011 and I loved it, so from then I go wherever I can. In september 2011 I went to Bath and loved every minute of it. I really hope to return during the Festival next year.
Till now I made directoire, empire, late 1780, 1660 and 1300 outfit.
Next one on the list is late 1870!
for the ones that dont remember me from the old forum here is my last avatar

OfflineNice to meet you. I love your photos, all the gowns are beautiful, I think my favorite is the black wrap front gown.
hi Dawn! I dont have time for a new dress (I'm off for the next weekend) so I'll wear a light blue dress with white sleeves I wore at Marengo battle reenactment. The fashion plate I copied it was for an evening dress so it should be ok, but I need to cover my head as my hear is quite short but not short as in early 1800 fashion plates . So probably I'll make a new cap if I find apropriate silk to make the outfit richer . My friends as usual will be all in silk so I'll be the "poor" lady of the company
thanks Geneece, I'm not so photogenic, I just have lots of photos from which I choose the one I like the best
thanks Melissa, the "black" dress is not black but green black herringbone pattern, click on the photo to see it bigger.

OfflineI also like the black wrap-front dress. What time period is 4. Battle of Staffarda?
I know its not yours, (and yours are all beautiful!) but I really like the color red and the red dress in the last picture is the perfect shade! Not to mention the medieval style which I really like.

OfflineHello Vesna,
I LOVE your dresses! My favourite is the yellow one, especially with the black hat. So elegant, so bright and sunny! Did you make it from a sari?
Frances
yes the yellow dress was a sari.
here you can see how it was before I cut it and made a gown of it
