Hello everyone!  Since no one else wants to go first I’ll go ahead and reintroduce myself!  I’m Natalie, known as SewingKitty from the old forum.  I’m not a dedicated costume seamstress, but I do enjoy using Mrs. Chancey’s patterns.  So far I’ve only made a Regency dress and a Swing dress, but I do have the pattern and fabric to make Kimono dress soon.  I’m also hoping to use the girls Regency dress pattern to make dresses for my two daughters for my sister-in-law’s wedding.

I’ve been sewing since I was 9 years old, and was taught by my mother.  I enjoy every part of the process.  I’m not able to sew as much as I’d like anymore because of my little girls.  (18 months and 4 months old)  I love the community of the S&S forum, and can’t wait to get back into the swing of things! grin

Hello everyone, as there doesn’t seem to be a way to start a new thread while I’m a moderated newbie I’m afraid I’m going to have to highjack this thread for my own introduction.

I’m Elizabeth I was e_walpole on the old forum and hadn’t been active for a while until I was reminded by the announcement that we were switching to this new forum.

Hi Natalie! My little munchkins have derailed my sewing too ;)  I still sew just not nearly as much, and my body changed with all that so I don’t do nearly as much sewing for myself since I have to refigure my figure, lol. Make sure you post pictures of your girls’ dresses, I’ve been thinking about making a regency dress for my DD too.

Hi Elizabeth, it’s the same for me, I had been part of the other forum for year just not very active, but I do miss the community here it is definitely like no other! :)
