I apologize for the posting difficulties all of you “Senior Members” are experiencing. It appears this software has a heretofore undiscovered bug that still refuses to allow people I have promoted in rank to do more than post in the Intro board or reply to Admin topics! Doing my best to get this ironed out as swiftly as possible.

Thanks for your patience!

Jennie

I am not able to upload an avatar either. My status is still at New Member level.

I am impressed with all the hard work here to keep things clean and nice here! One question: Format-wise, the old board was a lot easier to read. Here, I am seeing a lot of blank space in each post above the message. Is this something others are experiencing? Maybe it’s just my browser settings. I use Firefox. Anyone else experiencing this?

romantichistory, I’m fixing your status now. For some strange reason, you vanished from the list of users for a couple of days! Glad you are still able to get in.

jaclynmarie, The narrow format makes this harder to read, but that is the fault of my website’s design–not of the forum itself. I’m going to try to change that as I navigate through all the options on the back end. Thanks for your patience!

Warmly,
Jennie

Hi! In my last three or so posts two “slashes” appear below the words I wrote. I was wondering what those were? And we’ll see if they show up in this post.

Yup, they’re there. Just so you know I’ve checked my signature box in my profile settings so I don’t think it’s that. TIA,

Eleni, the slashes don’t show up in other posts, and I can’t reproduce them on my end, so I think there’s something in your profile causing them to show up. Have you checked your signature line?

Warmly,
Jennie

I heard from Dawn, and, yep, IE users can’t get into the site or the forum. IE is kind of a running joke in the web design community for all its bugs! But I’m trying to find a workaround so people on that browser can see the site….

No clue why the recently read topics aren’t showing for you. I’ll dig into tech support and see what I can find. Thanks!

Warmly,
Jennie

Hi Jennie! I have checked the signature box in my profile and there’s nothing there so I don’t know either. It’s not hurting anything so I’ll just let it be.wink

Do you mind telling me which browser you’re using? I want to report this to the techie guys and see what they say.

Thanks!
