Hello!

I've heard some people are concerned about seeing numbers showing up in the list of who's online (like "42") and wondering if these are spying spammers. Let me set your minds at ease:

When you sign up for the forum, you are assigned a user number that is only known to me on the back end. Occasionally, if you choose to "browse the board invisibly," your user number will show up in the "Who's Online" feed. I can double-check these on the back end, but I'm not going to post a list of numbers with names for obvious reasons! If you want to know your user number, I'll be happy to PM it to you.

There are no spammers on this board. People who register as newbies and never get past the first five moderated posts can't even see anything beyond the Rules, Admin, and Intro board, and unregistered guests can't even see the Intro board. So rest assured that the forum is private, and there are no sinister "numbers" spying on you!
