OfflineLadies, I think the new forum will now be a BREEZE to use in wide-screen format. Thanks for your patience while I got the site redesigned to work with it! No more squashed threads and posts. You should be able to see everything clearly and find what you're looking for without a headache.
But if you run into any problems, please don't hesitate to let me know!
Warmly,
Jennie

OfflineThanks, ladies!
Carol, I haven't changed my Facebook page at all. The link goes straight to ** you don't have permission to see this link ** and should just display the public version of the page. I logged out, then went to Facebook from the link, and it brings up the "Sign up" pop-up, but all you have to do is click to close it and the FB page displays as usual.
Warmly,
Jennie

Jennie, not sure if you want this posted in this thread or the 'working out bugs' thread, I'll put it here and if you want us to move bug issues elsewhere, please let us know.
Not all of the Facebook links are working properly. For example, the one you have in this posting does not work for me. The one in your profile signature does not work. The one at the top of the pages, appears to be working. The one in the in the blog posting, bottom left, here, does not work http://sensibility.com/blog/blog/we-have-a-winner/ . Sorry, I tried to make that a link, and I am unable to do that….are links disabled?
Since I don't have a facebook account, it might make it more difficult to access? I don't know, but not all links lead back to your public facebook page, for me.
Thanks,
Carol

OfflineI'm having trouble with posting links.
I had one in my "Elinor's wedding dress" thread, and it's not working now, and I can't seem to make it work. It goes to wikipedia; but not to the page I was designating. Seems the link cuts off after the F for file, and thus takes me to the letter F page on wikipedia.

OfflineThanks, ladies! I will double-check the other Facebook links, as it's possible some "new" code got appended when I repointed my domain.
Sorry about the mysterious "John"--LOL! That's my eldest son's email. I had to use a Paypal account that didn't belong to me to test the shopping cart, so I added him as a user. I'll go delete him shortly!
Cheers,
Jennie

I thought it might be him, but then I thought maybe it was a new tech person for the update.
Just thought I would ask.
Thanks Jennie,
Carol
Jennie,
I have been wondering how we are going to work the 'new usuers' for the now archived forum. Since people cannot sign up for the old, archived forum, how will new users be able to read the pages we want to refer people to, when answering questions? I am assuming new users, or even users that will be new here, but become senior members in short order, how will they be able to 'read' the thread to the links we post? I am assuming we won't have to copy and paste whole threads, so how does this work? Will this mean that only the old time members, who ever registered on that message board, will have exclusive access to these forums? Or, are the newer members from this forum, once hitting senior status, will they be able to access the archives?
Obviously for those of us who want to use the old threads to reference in our postings here, need to know how to do this without frustrating new members.
Thanks for the help,
Carol

OfflineThe new forum takes some getting used to but after the learning curve it is easier to use than the old board. The only problem I've found is that since I changed my username slightly I can no longer access all the wonderful reference material contained in the old archives of messages in the old forum.
