Kirsten’s “Beatrix” Ensemble

By Jennie Chancey

I used the wonderful Beatrix Potter Walking Skirt pattern and Edwardian Shirtwaist to make this outfit to celebrate our school centenary. The entire school, staff and parents dressed up and went to Beamish open air museum, and it was a lovely day. The collar on the blouse is an original Edwardian Irish crochet lace, found on ebay for £3.99!!! Thank you for such lovely patterns Jennie!

Stunning ensemble, Kirsten! I absolutely love it all from top to toe. Thanks for sharing your wonderful work … and the fun celebration!

Simply beautiful! I love the whole thing. You did a nice job. It amazes me that just 100 years ago this was the style. So lady-like and flattering.

Hi, Sheila! These are my “Beatrix” patterns, which are available in the Edwardian Patterns section of my site. Look for the Skirt, Shirtwaist, and Jacket for the full outfit. Have fun! Warmly, Jennie
