Jen's Regency Ensemble

Lovely Miss M. created her entire outfit and shared these wonderful photos. She writes,

I made the dress and underpinnings from your Regency pattern. I don't have a picture of the underpinnings, but I think you can see how nicely the dress fits over them. For the dress I used a transparent fabric (roses on a cream background... it was actually in the "curtain fabric" section of the store) over an opaque rose-colored cotton fabric with cream accents. I removed some of the top fabric on the front and on parts of the sleeves to let the lining show, and added lace accents. I really liked Elizabeth Bennett's blue dress with the pointed-capped sleeves in P&P, so I added some of those, too.I made the pelisse from a heavy, rose-colored brushed-canvas (from the discounted upholstery section) that complemented the dress colors very well. Your patterns were incredibly easy to follow, and the finished garments fit like a glove. My friends all really loved them. I quilt regularly, but haven't sewn clothing for over ten years, and I was very pleased with how everything turned out. Thanks again,Jen M.

And thank you for sharing, Jen!
