I ordered your pattern two children ago, and at last finished it in a medium weight polished cotton/linen blend for our local Playford ball last Saturday. Trim was inspired by the Dashwood girls’ ballgowns in ‘Sense and Sensibility.’ Although there were a number of ladies attending in panniers, I was grateful for the comfort level of the Regency cut and glad I opted for “modern dress.” I received many compliments on the dress and am already planning another gown, with embellishments, which I hope to finish in less than three years this time! Thank you for your inspiring web site! ~ Emily.
Isn’t that gold trim smashing?
