Debra's Jane Austen Society Ensemble

deb-01.jpg

I made this dress for the Jane Austen Society annual Spring gala in Chicago. I altered the pattern to button down the front and to have "slashed" upper sleeves. The pattern is so easy to use and easy to alter that it took me no time at all to make. And Regency gowns are so much more comfortable than Civil War Era! I have used the pattern twice now, and I am still delighted with this intuitive and elegant pattern design. You can really tell when a pattern has been designed by an experienced stitcher. Thank you for all your hard work- it made my job so much easier.Debra M.

Thank you so much for the kind words, Debra! You did an absolutely fabulous job on your JASNA outfit. What a fun event!
