We took pictures Friday of gowns made from two new patterns. The Girls’ 1780s Portrait Dress pattern will be ready to ship soon — we are waiting on the final cover art, which will be ready in a matter of days if all goes well. Once everything is at the printer, we will go ahead and set up pre-ordering for this new pattern. The photo at left shows both options from the girls’ pattern — the gathered gown with long sleeves and the smooth bodice with elbow-length sleeves. Below is a sneak peek of the girls’ gathered gown paired with the ladies’ version. That pattern will not be ready until later this fall (October at the earliest), so stay tuned! It has been so much fun working on these this year in bits and pieces. Seeing them come together is exciting!

My daughters both love these dresses and want ones exactly like them? Where did you get the material, and what kind are they?
2:26 am
Hello, Teresa! Believe it or not, this is lightweight upholstery material in blue and pink toile that I had in my stash. It is still available at Hancock Fabrics and shows children swinging, playing ring-around-the-rosy, etc. So cute!
